The new power distribution system SVS15 for rail mounting allows simultaneous line entry and wiring of two potentials of the DC 24 V level. The new design conceived by E-T-A Elektrotechnische Apparate GmbH helps to save space in control cabinets and reduces the number of potential distribution terminals on the symmetrical rail.
Dual 10 mm² supply terminals distribute the current fed in by a switch-mode power supply to two potentials. Eight plug-in type circuit breakers selectively protect the connected loads. The plug-in slots are suitable for various E-T-A products such as the electronic circuit breaker ESS20-003 and the electronic circuit protector ESX10-103 or the thermal-magnetic circuit breaker type 2210- S21x and type 3600.
The new power distribution system SVS15 simplifies distribution with a load current of max. 8 A per way and a total current of max. 40 A. Five protected »L+« load outputs per slot and 30 minus terminals reduce wiring time significantly. Termination of loads is by means of plug-in type terminals (standard spring-loaded terminals).
The auxiliary contacts of all eight devices (make contact functionality) are pre-wired on the SVS15. Group signalisation of all eight circuits is connected via a separate line terminal. Corresponding to the two fed in potentials the signal circuits can also be separated into two groups. In order to avoid damage of the auxiliary contacts of the circuit breakers or of the copper tracks of the pcb in the event of an external short circuit, the system features an integral separate protection of the auxiliary circuits.
